The Rhode Island Wild Plant Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to
promoting the conservation of Rhode Island's native plants. One component of our mission includes plant inventories and informal plant lists or surveys. These lists,
besides being given to you, will become part of a statewide plant inventory compiled in conjunction with the RI Natural History Survey and the RI Natural Heritage Program. To make arrangements for an inventory, please contact the RIWPS office at (401) 789-7497 or office@riwps.org. PLANT INVENTORIES
(RIWPS Inventory Agreement)
In general, plant inventories will cost $100* per visit with a minimum of three visits in order to encompass all three growing seasons.
This inventory might be valuable for people interested in land management (i.e., land trusts) or for those who have questions about where to build a new building. INFORMAL PLANT LIST OR SURVEY

Surveys will cost only $50* per visit, which is a special fee to promote plant education. This survey is targeted for schools and individuals and is intended to encourage
education and foster an interest in native plants and their habitats. MEMBER SPECIAL

Casual plant surveys covering a reasonable area are available to RIWPS members free of charge. (Maximum 3 hours) SPECIAL NOTES These inventories and lists are intended only for natural areas of native vegetation,
not for cultivated garden species.
